I'm almost finished a set of Friul tracks for my DML Tiger I. Any tips you guys can give me on painting and weathering would be appreciated.

A good article in Tamyia Model Magazine mentions using antiquing fluid (used in furniture restoring to give new metal handles/fixings an old appearance)
It's a chemical process that gives the metal tracks a deep grey colour. I've tried it on a few spare links and it gives good results (sorry no pictures). I think the results will improve as i get better at controlling the process.
Sorry i'm a little vague with the product details.
Hope it helps.
(English me good now).

Found the Stuff - it's called " Liberon Antiquing Fluid".
The only picture I've got of the results is in My Photo's - its the spare links on a king tiger (I've over done the rust on them though!) but it gives a basic idea of the colour. There no other paint been used - just the metal track + fluid. then brushed with Mig's pigment powders.
Cheers!

This is really a great article, Michael Rinaldi has a very unique way of finishing his models and is more than willing to share his techinques.
