(Also making Homer Simpson sound) Porkchops, uups, I mean brass.
The rocket launcher looks incredible. The brass work and wiring is superb.

It looks beautiful Henk! I always think it's a shame to put paint over brass, the brass looks sooo nice, and everyone can see how much work you have put into it. Still....... :-)

Henk, them tubes look great to, the extra work will pay off, that sure does beat them molded on wires Italeri has, but I got to looking, Italeri has them same holes yours has, plus them same boxes your hooking them wires up to.
That it might no hurt to add a couple extra wires to mine, cause of the molded on wires get lost in the plastic on my Italeri one. Then I got to thinking about the engine, with all that armor plate they put in there there isn't a level place to set the battery like the Opel from the factory, that I would haft to run the cables back to the firewall, and put everything back there.
Things make sense that they would of to.

Hilbert, this is the Azimut kit, in 1:35 scale. It's all resin and brass, apart from the suspension.
Thanks for your continued support and interest guys, I'm affraid there's no progres tonight, as I have a rare night off and decided to have a few beers... more progres tommorow..
I have spend tonight getting my new mouse to work, wireless and optical, and after a bit of a struggle it now works fine.
Cheers

Hi John,
The original Nebewerfer had to be fired in sequence to stop it from falling over, and effectivly firing the rockets back in to their own ranks.. The panzerwerfer at some 7 tons wasn't going to fall over, but the effect of the rockets was as much phycological as physical, and one rocket every say 10 seconds adds up to a lot of firepower. So yes, these would fire at the same interval rate, to add to the effect of rockets coming in over a prolonged time. I'm not sure how many of these were in a group, but I think from pictures I've seen there might have been at least six at one spot. That makes 60 rockets, at say 10 seconds, which would give you 10 minutes of incoming rockets.... by which time they would have reloaded to start all over again...I would hate to be on the receiving end of that..
There will be some more progress tomorow Robert, possibly including a side by side shot of the Dragon Tracks.. I bought the Pzr I B kit today, and it has , amongst other goodies, a set of indy tracks. First impressions, not to good.
cheers
Henk

Not the best day (night ) in the office, I was actually required to do some work today... . Hence not as much time to model as I hoped, but I'm back in the office tonight, and if no bl@@@y trucks need tipping, or samples collecting, I hope to finish the main painting and final construction.
Anyway, I finished the kit, apart from a few fittings, and here she poses one last time without paint...
This picture is of shockingly bad quality, but it's early, I need to go to bed, and I'll post some better ones tommorow when the camo should be done..
I appreciate your continued interest in my efforts, I find it a great boost and incentive to get a kit finished in a reasonable time span.. :-)
Cheers

Evening Gents,
Thanks, and I'm hard at it at the moment. No trucks to be unloaded, so bar any breakdowns I will get some serious painting done tonight. Last coat of Dunkelgelb is drying as we speak, and in the oven that my boss laughingly calls 'the office' the paint doesn't half dry. Thats why I like working with Acrylics, no waiting for two days between layers. Oh well, back to the AB, squigily camo it is,
Cheers

The first attempt is here, and although not entirely hopeless, It will need some major tweaking to make it 'just right' . I feel that most lines have ended up to thick, but that will be corrected through 'outlining' with yellow, which will also tighten up the edges a bit. There will be a lot more little squigles al over, and off course it needs to be weathered to bring it all together.
It's getting there....
Cheers

woohoo looks like we were both able to get some airbrush time tonight. Looks good so far, I agree though that some of the lines are a little thick, but like you said you can fix that. This is the hardest part of the build process for me though, getting through the initial paint stage and on to the weathering. Good luck.

Robert

Good morning guys,
Been a while, but at the moment I can only use my Airbrush at work, as I haven't got the room at home.. so any major work has to be done at work, .
I have done the green stripes, and the tracks and tyres, and have decided to add red-brown squigels aswel, as I think it will look better. I'll do those tommorow night.
Cheers

Hey Henk, I don't think it's a question of to thick or to thin but more of a "consistancy" thing. Your second attempt is a lot more uniformed in thickness and I like it more then the first one. This is getting to be an awsome machine, your hard work is showing through. Its nice to watch a master at work!
Good luck with the brown coat .

Thanks for your kind words Bruce, although I'm not to sure about the 'Master at work' , more like mad proffessor..I'll take some pic's tonight of my 'bench'.. .
You hit the nail on the head here,
This close up of the front (DOH ) shows the trouble I had with the lights on the left side. Both the Notek and headlight are damaged, and repeated attempts to glue the head light back have failed. I will bent the bracket and add a loose wire to make it loook properly bashed.
Cheers

, The lines should roughly be the same thickness, as they would have been sprayed with a simple spraygun. I'm fairly happy with it so far, and hope that the red-brown will add that little bit that makes the camo stand out, as at the moment it looks a bit '2-dimensional'..Hey Henk, I don't think it's a question of to thick or to thin but more of a "consistancy" thing.

Thanks Kerry,
I hope to finish this one tonight, apart from some final weathering. It's a great kit, and I'm enjoying this. So much so that I've now got my eye on another Azimut kit...
As for the ship, I have done some bit's, but as I have now no longer the use of the spare room, that ones on a bit of a back burner. My modeling bench consists of a serving tray at the moment.. .
Cheers

You're welcome Jim, it's nice to do a build of an out of the ordinairy vehicle once in a while, and it's even nicer when people appreciate it. I had found that I was spending tomuch time reading or even getting involved in silly debates, so I thought, back to building, and get it finished.
Hi John,
I have been looking at the thing most of the day, and I know it needs something, and think that the red brown squigels would probably look o.k., but at the same time I don't know, maybe it will be to much... Only time will tell, if it looks horrible, I can always over spray the red brown.
Cheers
