Previously I glue some " Faller " grass, for railway landscape.. My base is a plate of "Roofmat" (sold in the handiwork shop) cut boorishly according to decorations. and directly glued with the vinyl painting tinted with acrylic groundcolour

To make grass I use of it " plumber’s tow ". The average cost of a bale is approximately 5€ with that, there is enough realize some jungle landscape …
.
A bale, in this case I have already used more than a half.

I cut small locks..

I fold them in two

I glue the folded part in the vinyl glue tinged with the acrylic paint

.
And I push it in the holes realized with an old screwdriver cut like arrow

When all the grass and flowxers are planted you can paintbrush all the diorama.

For the realization of the young wheat; the principle is the same; the difference will be made in the space of crash (very tight for the wheat, more aerated for the herb) and by making a cup of regularization in the chisel when it, will be dry.

Poppies are small grasses - which the heads are painted in red collected next of the road, don’t ask me that it is, I could not answer you …

To morow I will explain how to make the trees

Pleave forgive me for asking, but what is a "plumber's tow"? What is it used for? I just need to know because it might have a different name here and at least I could explain to the store what I need. Your grass really looks very very good.

Thanks

Thanks for sharing, it really looks easy to do and looks great.

Arvin I think it's flax fibre or similar used by plumbers to seal, to make tight pipes conections ( pls correct me if I'm wrong)

Thank Marcin, that info would be helpful. I'll try to look for them in the hardware stores here. I hope I find one.

Cheers

In Australia we call it Plumbers hemp-like hemp that is used for Ropes in the age of sail -I also make thatch out of and one of the best builders of english model railways used it (Roy England who built o oo scale layout with perfect reproduction of buildings interiors and exterior-Brilliant)

I've got to tell you, that's a great idea! I used to sell plumbing supplies, and I would have never thought of using tow for realistic grass...thanks for the tip, christmari, and the pic's!
