Warnings are always usefull a couple months ago i opened up something that I thought was from my ISP turned out to be a mass mailing trogan...... while getting rid of it I found an e-mail from my ISP a month earlier giving warning that got caught in my spam filter............

live and learn.........

I think it's eBay that always use your real name. One way to spot a scam.

One thing to remember is that anytime eBay or PayPal sends you an email, the site they will direct you to will start with "https" meaning a secure site. All of the scammers want you to go to a site that starts with "http". If in doubt, close the email and go to my eBay or PayPal directly. If they have really sent you a message, you can usually find it when you log in.

If you receive a "spoof" eBay email, forward it to [email protected]. "Spoof" PayPal emails should be forwarded to [email protected]. This allows their security people to verify the email and possibly track down the sender. However, with the amount of this b.s. going on, I can't imagine they can shut down too many of them.
