One of these days I may actually get round to start building my Trumpeter T34/76 1943 model. I have several inches high of reference pictures off the interweb, and a couple of books and magazine articles, but have not found any clear pictures of the ventilator on the fighting compartment rear bulkhead. Does anyone have a picture or reference? Additionally I would like a picture of the turret interior, particularly the inside of the roof and the torsion spring/support for the hatches. Plus does anyone know if this ventilator was present on the 1943? Mark Rethoret had said he would email me some stuff if he had it but I can't remember what site this was in and I didn't have an email function at that time. Thanks for any help guys.

This photoset has few interesting views of the interior of T-34 Mod 43

There's also useful T34 stuff here including manual extracts

T-34 Mityczna Bron also has some useful shots, spread over two volumes. It might appear in English one day (been promised for ages) but the Polish language version is useful as it's not too difficult to decipher the photo captions with a little work.

Thanks for that Drader, but I do have all this stuff in my collection of reference. I am actually hoping to base my model on Sniper, which is the vehicle pictured, pulled from a bog in Russia. I have been looking interwebwise since Christmas and feel the ventilator itself and the turret roof details will be in fairly obscure sources if extant at all.

Hey Ross,
I'm sorry I wasn't able to get the information to you but we can try to fix that now 8-)
With the introduction of the larger "hex turret" the exhaust fan was moved from the loader's side bulkhead to the turret.
Unfortunately, I managed to lose a fair number of photos I had taken of the turret interior and don't have any really “good” images of the fan housing.
Email me directly and I’ll see about getting you the information you need.

Hi Ross,
You probably saw the original message from Mark here on Armorama...at least that's where one picture is stored...
http://photos.kitmaker.net/showphoto.php/photo/36140/cat/500/page/1
That's the only picture I've seen of the fan mounted on the firewall. There's a litle drawing of it in the wiring diagram here...

Good luck with it...

Thanks very much for the help guys.
Now having seen that elusive ventilator I'm going to have to get the 1942 model to build round it!
