Does anyone have reference info on the Russian ZIS-5 Aircraft Fuel Truck? I just got an Eastern Express 1/35 scale kit of it and the kit looks great. I thought it would be a nice change from armor (I build GPW-era Red Army vehicles/figures). The instructions were terrible, however. They weren't real clear on how the hoses were connected. I tried a Google search on the vehicle with no luck on the fuel truck. I was hoping a photo would clear up the problem.....Bal'shoe Spasiba, in advance...Bill G

Bill,
I believe the Militaria book on the Zis-5 showed a drawing or two, along with some photos. I'll check when I get home tonight.

Mika, I did a search for the Militaria book on the ZIS-5, but could not find it available on this side of the "pond". If you have access to a scanner, I would be in your debt if you could scan one of the drawings or pictures that shows the hose attachment for the Aircraft fueler. My e-mail address is [email protected] (the 193rd Rifle Division is the Red Army reenactment that I am a member of).....Thanks....Bill

Bill,
I've looked through the Zis-5 book, and it doesn't cover the fuel bowser. I'm emailing you a couple of pics that might help.
