Well, it has been a loooong while since I've posted in here, or even made anything. I had to give up modeling for a while for other things unfortunately. However, I'm slowly starting to come back. Here's a bust, or diorama (bustorama as I like to call it) of a dino eating a dragonfly. The dino and tree was sculpted from Aves ClayShay and the dragonfly was made from Sculpey. It's funny because I used a picture frame for a base and today I come in here and there's a new feature about using picture frames for bases :-) Anyway, here it is...

Thanks for the compliments guys. I found a site that had dragonfly wings you could save and print out. I just got some transparency sheets that fit in my printer and printed them out. After that I just cut them out with an exacto knife. Here's the site I found them on...

Brad..Wow...that is most excellent. I love it. I am amazed at your work..and i really hope that you will not be going into "retirement" again. If you could..i have a question or two...first...what of scale is this..looks rather large...two...Is that in the midst of real plantlife...or did you create that too...

The dino is just some made up concept. It will blow my mind if they dig up one that actually looked like that once upon a time :-) I'd say the scale would be 1/2, or 1/4th. I sculpted the dragonfly. As for the plants, those are just some fake flowers and leaves that I got from a some fake flower arrangement things around the house used for decoration.

I actually used a reference of a croc's eye for these. That black stuff around them isn't mascara, it's actually suppose to be a membrane.
