That's a great idea. There was a campaign a few years ago that had an X Factor of price. It was very fun to challenge yourself to see what you can come up with in a very inexpensive way

here was my entry

Unless you're not including the model itself I can't beat $30 on my armor dios. The kit itself is already $30.

On smaller dios I probably use way less that $30 in materials but that doesn't mean I didn't have to go buy all sorts of items just to use a few cents worth of material that I didn't have before. Just last week I spent $10 on a 5 foot board just to get one 1x1 dio base so although I spend $10 I really only used $2 (I cut the board into 5 1x1 bases for future dios.)

So if you're talking actual cost of material then $30 is a very reasonable goal. If you're talking about spending less than $30 to get all your supplies that's a different story

Scott,
That campaign was my first and great fun. We need to do another one of those.

I too am building a diorama on a VERY tight budget. Other than the DML sd.kfz kit which cost me a shade over £20, and some figures at about 4-7 quid a box, I plan on spending NOTHING

lol I paid euh let's see.......€ 110 al together to get everything I need for my crab (but don't worry, I didn't use everything for my crab and will use these parts for other projects)

Normally I also try to keep things as cheap as possible...life is already expensive enough!

Depends on the currency too. Are we using conversion rates? $30 Canadian is different the $30 Euros or $30 US (Not by much anymore.....watch out for that loonie...its soaring)

I am assuming he meant the equivilent of $30US or

$36.55 CAD
24.36 EUR
16.91 GBP
39.13 AUD
3361.21 JPY
233.17 HKD
317.83 MXN

I think I covered everyone's currency in this thread plus a few extras.

It is also from the first campaign here on Armorama where we had the price limit of 30$ but then I tried to do it as cheap as possible.

jeez, thats nice for such a little price. But with limited resources it gets much much harder. You can't screw up or you'll blow your maximum spending fee

I think all this cost me about 1$ to make, its mosty leftovers from homerepair - drywall, wallpaint, white glue, real bricks and a old piece of leftover MDF board.

Sometimes nature and leftovers is the best provider if its combinded with creativity and imagination.
