Just wondering it anyone else is experiencing a slow down on loading pages, and getting more can't find server messages.
The last three days it seems to be getting slower and slower for me to load a page. Taking sometimes several minutes, and I'm getting more and more can't find server messages, in between.
Now with cable, this shouldn't be happening.
Of course my usual one hour phone call to Opt-on-line has resulted in no improvement, other than using 60 minutes of cell phone time, and being told that everything is fine. For 50 bucks a month I don't think everything is fine, and told them so.
Just wondering if I'm the only one..... experiencing problems.

I am experiencing the same problems, as Dave. At home as well, as at work.

Nope all normal here.
I too am on broadband and it seems fine. And I'm fairly sensitive to these things as I work in networking (Cisco Eng.)
But I do run my own proxy server - but new content seems fine.

I was pretty sure this might happen as we come out of the slow summer months. As I predicted (to myself) this will probably mean the "Who's online" feature will need to go bye-bye again. It just causes too much overhead on the server keeping track of 100+ users.

Gee, I feel bad about saying anything...... mainly because I really do like seeing who's here also. But if that the cause, I'm sure I can live without the gate.
Oh I feel like a real GEEK now..... I just upgraded my memory...... did it myself, actually opened the mystery box, took out the memory cards, brought them to store, and installed new ones....... and it actually worked on start up........ :-)
Speed improved a little, but not much, and I'm now maxed out at 512.
I guess a new computer is on the horizon.

I read on another site that if you are using a service that is AOL related, there has been a slowdown.
Also Comcast has been upgrading their systems and causing intermitent slowdowns randomly across the state of Michigan. However they have not been up front with customers that there are slowdowns because they only last a few minutes and are very random so they just say there is no know network issues.
Perhaps there is some tweaking on your cable system as well.
