kilntime,

I love the "In Progress" shot of the book! The dio sounds like a project...Good luck, anxious to see it progress.

Dark Trooper- thanks for the tip. Now you need to join up...build something from that book.

I am thinking I will do a plain vanilla M1 from "Red Storm RIsing", and maybe a SA-6 that shot down the "Frisbee" at the end of the book when Trumpeters kit comes out...or I have the guts to start the Cromwell kit!

I think this is a cool Campaign idea Jim...

I'm planning on doing a scene from Captain Kevin D. Randle's Operation Roswell. It's a pretty interesting novel - makes you wonder...

One sequence in particular caught my attention, and I want to model one of the scenes where the Dodge Ambulance that was used to transport one of the surviving EBE's from Roswell Army Base to the installation in Nevada now commonly labeled "Area 51" in July 1947.

I might change my mind and model one of the Dodge Trucks used during the early retrevial of wreckage from the EBE craft - maybe one of the searchlight equipped Dodges...

Should be fun at any rate...

This is going to give me an oppurtunity to model one of my favorite SPWAW scenarios. "Uncle Joe's Suprise." Hypothecial scenario where the Russians cross the border in force in late fall 1945. Thinking about a Pershing with IR equipment fighting along side a Panther or Jadgtiger with the same.

Jim is right, this should be fun...

(Hauls out huge notebook of dio ideas)

Got a few ideas floating around...

Thinking about some well wrapped up Russkis wandering around the German equipment captured in Stalingrad. There a pretty cool description of it in Antony Beevor' s Stalingrad-The Fateful Siege.

I've had my idea for several years, just waiting for inspiration to do it and with this campaign I have it!

I'm going to build a cutaway section of a decked out German foxhole now occupied by American soldiers set in winter 1944-45, based on descriptions in Stephen Ambrose's Citizen Soldiers.

Its' sneaking up...

I think I have found the book and passage, but, well, it may change.

Anyhow the current choice for book is-

It seems nearly all my choices are ficticious Korean scenarios...Red Phoenix (Bond), 38 North Yankee(Ruggero), Proud Legions (Antal).

Hmmmmmmmm...

By The Book is Live!

Its' time to create. Glue, paint, cut, build! Or if your like me, figure out what to do!

I found my passage in "Red Phoenix" by Larry Bond...then I started to read the whole book again. Darn! No I've got 2 or 3 ideas. DMZ, urban setting, hmmmm!

And like I said there are those other books too! Arghhhhh- decisions!

Hello all,
I've started on my Stuart Satan, and doing research for the diorama.

I still don't know if I want to try and show a flame attack or just suggest the end of one. Should be interesting.
Dave Harper from HARD CORPS MODELS was kind enough to answer a couple of questions for me, so I could finally get started.

Hope everyones gettin er done,
Bob

Glad to hear people are in "motion" on this Campaign...then again I'm probably not very objective!

Geez, I'm still reading and figuring out for sure what I'm doing for BTB.
