Hi Everybody,
This thing has been coming along nicely in the past couple of weeks. It's funny how sometimes al it rakes is one thing, like finding a particular piece or stumbling upon an idea to start things falling into place.Check out the progress so far.

The tureret was rough formed from "Florist Foam". Then I covered the foam with Automotive body filler (Bondo) and filed, carved, and sanded to shape.
Once I had pretty much the desired shape I fit the turret ring and hollowed the turret , removing all the foam. that left a rough texture inside the turret. On the inside I applied Milliput and smoothed it out.
Thanks in advance for any improvments you can suggest.

Thanks guys,
I'd like to say that almost none of this could have been done without the help of the US Marine Corps headquarters museum- Ordanance division and the curator, Mr. Dieter Stenger. I told him of my project and a vague discription of what I needed and about a week later, about EIGHTY photo-copies from the various Tech manual appeared on my doorstep. That's why this model will be donated to the USMC museum after completion and/or mold making.
Thanks again

Florist's foam: You've gotta love it! :-)

That's one impressive scratchbuild you've got going there! Mighty bit more than I can do... I'll just work on creating a scale 2x4 before I try a tank...

Hello Carface
I have to say that is quite impressive what you show there in your album.

I and I think many with me are waiting for more pictures and I`m really curious to see the finished project

Excellent work. What scale is it in?
This looks like science fiction almost to me, to build something this way. An excellent result though. Must have taken a long time did it?
Keep up the good work!!!
