Ola Guys

Well Since yesterday evening I had asked for German Military Tactical Roadsigns. So I thought it would be nice to show you all for what kind of project it was. Some of you might remember I showed some pics a while ago of a BMW with Sidecar towing a 37 mm PAK35 for those of you who don`t remember here is the link to the earlier progress post
O2W Fausts Entry Part 1
Now of course things got out of hand and the 1 motor got friends.... 3 of them actually, and the lone Motordriver got some friends too 4 of them. And the whole scene actually got a name.
Basically what you have is The BMW sidecar still towing the gun. In the sidecar is a Guy with a map, the driver of the BMW sidecar is pointing at the map, the guy on the left is lookign at the map as is the officer at the back of the sidecar. Then on the right is a guy who is looking to the right... this might seem odd but the fact is that in future installment he will be watching a huge Jungle of military tactical roadsigns.
The dio`s name will be something along the lines : Wohin geht der krieg? which means where does the War go? Still have to find the exact line and somebody who can help me with the correct grammar in German but that is for later thought... ok Enough talk here is the one and only good pic I managed to score this afternoon during a quick photoshoot

As always looking for feedback although I know there is not much to feedback on

I like the layout so far, looks very natural. Who are the figures made by?

Ola Guys

Thanks for the comments.

The light colored figures are made by Legend. Although 2 of them (can`t remember which exactly) were brought out by another company which stopped producing them and legend brought them out again. The Darker coloured figure in the back is a Motorcycle officer from Verlinden who lay in the window for a while and this is the direct effect of figures lying in the sun they get darker. All figures are brilliant sculpts.

Thanks for the Comment. I`m in the happy position of having a few weeks off from work now but you never know what ends up in your path.. So the extension is only neccesary as more people need it.... It is a bit stupid to do an extension for only 1 man

The figures are truely brilliant. They cost quite a bit but then you really get something.

Ola Guys

Thnaks for the comments and I will take care of it to show you some more pics of it coming days.... I know the only pic I show here is kinda lame but it is the only thing time allowed me to do. At this moment the Zundapp is being detailed in the same way the BMW sidecar was done and next will be the 2 BMW motors which will also be detailed. The figures are Puttied and will be cleaned tomorrow and as time allows me I will also be starting the groundwork tomorrow... So a busy day.

@ Foxy
I send you a PM

I can only already imagine these babies nicely painted and on a mud track dio set. All you need is to create that map that the figures are trying to look at!

Good job so far!

Robert Looks like a great idea. You may want to re-focus the attention of the officer and the cyclist closest to him to the other figures. Just an Idea. Thanks for sharing.

Ola Guys

Thanks for the replies

Jazza.... That map is already taken care of and the figures are puttied and cleaned where needed. They are ready for the paintjob.

John. From this angle it is not quite clear but the officer in the back is actually looking over the shoulder of the guy holding the map so his focus is there. And the guys on the far right is now looking at nothing at the moment but eventually he will be looking at a Jungle of Tactical roadsigns.

Thanks to Patrick (Foxy) I also made up the final title for this dio. Which will be "Wo geht's zum Krieg?".
Which basically means "Which way to war?"

So again all thanks for stepping in and giving your thoughts. Now I have to detail the 2 BMW Motorcycles and then everything is ready for paint. And I can start on the groundwork now.

With Friendly Greetz
