I have finished the 1/25 Centurion. Thanks to all of you out there that helped with the completion of this project. This has been one of the most fun kits I have ever put together. Enjoy.

There is rifling in the barrel. Hard to see here.

This Cent is from the 4th Tank Regiment the "Chinese Eye".
It is part of the British Expedition Unit in Berlin.

Impressing. Have you used metal wire for antennas?

I used antenas from Minimeca. They have a very nice line of tow cables and antenas. The antenas have the coil base already installed on them you just need to install and cut to length.

Hi

Good to see one those finished ... mine has been on hold for about a year as I try and figure out how to do a turret bustle

Thanks for the motivation!

When I first returned to the hobby to model seriously some years ago, this kit was the first I did. It sits behind me now on a high shelf. I'll probably try and fInd a higher one now after seeing yours. Brilliant job!

Very nice job of my favorite tank of all time. I especially like the unit you chose, as I was once stationed there in another life.
A few minor things, if I may, to make it more accurate:
The mantlet cover was painted black, and the antennae were painted alternating stripes of red/white.

Excellent, that's just how I remember them looking when I was a kid in the 60's. Even as a died in the wool Germanophile there's something about Cents, the Chieftain & Challenger just don't have it.

He's right you know, I think I've still got a recruiting pamphlet for the RAC from the 60s, & I distinctly remember the stripey poles. Don't know about the black mantlet, that was probably an RTR thing, like the black overalls.

This is the Tamiya 1/25 Centurion. It was produced back in 1972, this kit is older than I am by a year. I am very happy with the detail. I wish Tamiya would still make their tracks like they did in this one. They are individual links and snap together. They are fully functionable and the suspension works on this kit as well. I enjoyed building this kit more than any other I have completed to date. It was a great time.
