Here is my Medics entry so far. Last night i added more turf and grass on the base to give the ground more depth. Also trimmed the grass so it wouldnt look so choppy. I was planning on suspending the helicopter to make it appear as if it's landing, but now , with the campaign extension, the plan is to ground the helicopter, add 2 wounded into the stretcher pods and have another figure or 2 on the ground. comments and suggestions are welcome

Hi Babycakes!
Great model and dio! Be sure to post pics in the aircraft forum as well! Not everyone hangs around the campaign pages and I'm sure you'll make one or two happy modelers there!

Hi GI.... If you plan on making it were coming in for a landing ...you had better crush the grass to make it look like the rotor wash was blowing it around and with the size of the base I don't think anyone would be standing that close to an arriving Helo...
I must say that your dio looks great and that chopper is really nice ..good job all around.

hey thanks! that WAS the plan... then i wasn't having any luck finding as suitable rod to suspend the helo.
i decided that i would have it already landed with wounded secured to the stretchers getting ready to take off. hmmm, i still might have to have to smoosh some of the grass down after all to account for that bit of wind.
i was talking about the size of the base just yesterday! i think it's ok, but admittedly, i would do it over and make the base larger if i wanted to take the time.

update: my resin stretcher crew from cutting edge came in the mail yesterday, and tonight, after finishing sewing the Princess Leia costume for my daughter, I was able to pay them some attention. bad news: they didnt fit in the heli-pods! i sanded the bottoms down and now they fit. I painted the blankets and will do uniforms and faces tomorrow. Still awaiting ground crew and hopefully that will show up in tomorrow's mail and in time to add to the dio.

GI_Babycakes I know all of us would like to make sure everything is truly complete before submission but I'll have to say you're getting really too close to the wire on this one.
Besides your dio looks great as it is and it would really be a pity if it wasn't submitted.
