Im guessing the site went down again? Been trying to access the site for the last hour or so with little success.
Oh well glad to have it back up again.

perhaps the site is about to fail yet again?
The site has not 'failed' as you so eloquently put it, rather there have been a few problems with the (existing) server which will shortly be resolved as the site is going to be transferred onto another server...Jim

I think James means down/crash/offline/inaccessible/bitethedust/breakdown/unstuckmisfire/miscarry/flop/die/founder/cutout etc., and not in the sense that the site had been unable to achieve a particular hypothetical goal
BTW, I couldn't get on all day. 8 HOURS. EIGHT HOURS. Each time I sat in front of the pc, it took a few minutes 'til I could focus on actually what I wanted to do there.
Did I mention the 8 hours?

The only time I notice an outage was at around nine PM my time, and I was getting ready to rack out anyway.

Same here. I had been on and off the site all day without problem. Alpenflage IM'd me about it around that time (I had been on the site during the past hour). I tried and the site was down, but less than an hour later, it was back online. In fact I was still chatting with him via AIM when it came back online.Abandon Ship! Abandon Ship! You can tell by the 24hr Latest Post info that it was down for a little over 4 hours. Not exactly "the sky is falling" territory.
It may well be that with the fall upswing in usage that certain functions on the server are getting maxed out. The new dual server setup should offset that. I am hoping to get that done by the end of the weekend.
Cheers,
Jim
