Hi Folks,

My dio depicts a German Sniper in June of 1944.

Us Paratroopers have been scatered all over, as they appraoch a bombed out town they have know idea of the (hidden death) that awaits them. Perched on the second floor of a smoldering building he waits until they start there move. The troops have split in to small groups he waits until half of the troops are past. The last GI drops to the ground and then shot is heard. They have know idea where the shot has came from. The sniper has managed to split and pin down the troops with just one shot. He scopes the area for carelessness he awaits for just one mistake.

I have put some pics in the msn gallery .You cant see it real well in the pics but on the bottom floor I used an red led light to simulate smoldering rubble there is smoke to but I need do a little fine tunning this pic is under the name of smoldering rubble. The sniper has been modified from another figure I scratch built the scope on the gun the figure is not complete yet. Every thing but the figure and gun are scratched built. PFCMCCARY

Thanks GeneralFailer for puting up the link . With only having 6 inch base you have to be careful not to exceed the borders .

Hi PFC,
Like the building, nice effect with the burned wood. I think the scope is too big, the scope the Jerries used was quite slender. Also the positioning of the figure needs some work (left foot in particular.
Good Luck

Hi PFC,
If you need any pictures of a Jerry WWII scope, let me know and I'll post them tonight!
You might want to check out the Osprey Warriors books about snipers. There is some nice info and pictures about snipers.

Its great to see some of the ideas that are turning up for this competition. Excellent entry here again. Its also fun to see so many entries and all the enthusiaism. Whoever comes out tops will surely deserve the honour.
Good work PFC. Nice work and thanks for sharing. I guess thats the idea of posting. Getting help with some of the smaller points to help the overall standard.
