Hey , I may not be the best driver around but here are my excuses . The kangaroos just jumped out in front of my car cause they are crazy . Most of the rabbits were unavoidable accidents . The fence post I thought was further over than it was , now it is . Your mum planted the letterbox next to the driveway , which even she admitted was a silly place to put it . The grey thingy I hit , dad said when he looked at the fur on the wheel arch , may have been a wombat but quite possibly wasn't a dog . It would not have been a family pet ,more likely a farm dog anyway , so don't try and make me feel bad about that ! The two foxes were on purpose & was one of my best shots ever ,LOL, I was going to take them to a taxidermist but he said they were both mounted & stuffed already :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) Almost everything else I have hit was either on purpose or an accident . I have never hit a person & had only a few accidents

Dave,
I don't think wombats are endangered , your not meant to hit them with your car anyway , they are about the size of a dog with stubby legs . I didn't see what it was very well cause it was night time & I think I was putting lipstick on in the rear view mirror . They are kinda cute though like my little Dave P.S. Kinda like Santa crossed with Davey Crockett

LOL, Dave.... I know I said it else where.... but I'll say it again..... Halloween's over.... take the mask off! :-) :-) :-) :-)

BTW, Dave... this build sounds just like you..... needs lots of "grinding, fitting, and filling" and "snapped off one of the rear axles...... Had to drill out the stub" and "sag is due to age" :-) :-) :-) :-)

Just a bump to bring this up to date.

The 1941Chevy is just about finished. Started the base for it.

Here's a view of the cargo load, made from bals wood strips, then stained with various wood stains, and "Weather It" then assembled over a balsa wood core. Doing each board this way, gives a natural random mix of wood tones, without too much thought.
The mirror has a piece of mirror foil added.

Base is still taped up, and under construction.

Grump

In the words of Darth Vader, "Impressive, most impressive".

Your time and effort has produced a heck of payoff here. Wow.
