Hi,

This is mine first posting here.
This Accurate Armour`s Scammell Pioneer, I have no progres photo`s but this photo`s are from the second paint job.

The first paintjob was ruined when I used a varnish layer to mat the decals
After that I could started all over the Scammel a night in the oven cleaner and started over .

This the result It is better then the fiirst try stil I have to do some little things before theScammel is ready, and made a nice base for the beast.

Above photo is almost the right color of mine Scammell

I saw this vehicle in the latest issue of Tamiya Model Mag.
Your vehicle is excellent, the weathering is very convincing.
Only one comment,
aren't the hand cranks on the winch supposed to be painted red?
Andrew
P.S. What is that you are working on in the background of the last pic? A halftrack of some sort?

Are those white things in the first picture just stickers or white labels?? If they are did they leave any glue residue on the finish?? Was it a messy clean up? That looks like a really good way to do camo. It looks very good.

WOW... NOW THAT"S A TOW TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!

As always with you models, this one looks very nice. It's a very complicated kit and you've done a great job.

Are you going to post some more photos of this fine model on your website?

Later,
Tim

Hi Andrew,
About the crank handle I have no idea if they are red I have never seen a wartime picture of the Scammel that have red handles but never say never

About the Halftrack in the background it is a 252

Hi bison,

They are white labels about the gleu resideu you stick a few times the label on youre trouser ore somthing else and most of the gleu is gone.

Removing the labels is not a messy job, I used Tamiya paint after painting the model I let it dry for 20 minutes and then I removed the labels with a Xacto knife , works good.

Excellent paint job of an excellent kit. I can see why Accurate armors kits are so bloody expensive. Love the wheels and the weathering of them. Nice chiping as well. Welcome onboard and hope to see more of your postings like tthis in the future!

Hi Plasticbattle

They are indeed a lot of money but you have a unusual vehicle, but for the price and fit you can buy better stuf :-)

That is a nice truck. I just hope I can finish my GMC-CCKW with # 7 wreaker set as well as you have finished that one.

Cliff (I'm still a driver) :-)
