I would like: (A) lots of PE sets for KV 1s, T-34/76/85s, T-26s, STUG III F/G, etc.
( B) lots of Fruil or Model Kasten or Anvil tracks for the above;
(C) More reference books;
(D) A 4-megapixel digital camera with at least 3x optical zoom and macro
capabilities ( 4 meg is really overkill for this, but I take a lot of scenics
when i travel)
(E) More time to work with the stuff I already have...

If you shop around you can find it for less. I got mine the day it came out for $79 and the free DVD "When Trumpets Fade" from Best Buy. Now I can finish watching the the serises which I never finished on video taped by a friend (Sound on that copy was awful).

I haven't wacthed it yet. I watched part of it on video a few years ago, but I don't really remember much about it.It'll be intersting to see if on equipment etc. how that movie matches up with the likes of Pvt. Ryan and Band of Brothers. I'll let you know more when I watch it, heck off work today, maybe I'll pop it in once the sun goes down (which is about 3:45 or 4 p.m.)

I am trying to get a digital camera too. It is expensive though...

I saw When Trumpes Fade on History Television here in Canada. It's about Americans in the Battle for Hurtgen Forest, which took place about the same time as the Battle of the Bulge. Despite the extraordinarily ferocious fighting, it was overshadowed by the Ardennes Offensive.

Anyway, the movie is quite good. It's pretty bloody, Saving Private Ryan or BoB style, if I remember correctly. I also recall some good shots of German 88mm guns, but I don't think the tanks were historical. I seem to remember not knowing what they were supposed to be. The battle is in a forest, though, so you don't see tanks very often. I think it's a pretty good deal if you can get that movie with BoB, as it was not bad at all.
