I need some PE for a couple dragon wagon's and a lot more paint. I also need an air tank or a compressor or something.

I'd like a Skif BMD, and a set of Fruil tracks for my SA-13 Gopher. And paint, sandpaper, Zap-a-gap, the usual. And a couple sets of pastel chalks! Oh yeah, a good supply of all things needed to build dioramas - one each of the whole Woodland Scenics product line would do nicely

Tamiya FAMO seems to be a big winner. Can someone tell what are some of the asking prices to get it? (:-)

BC - - Hobby Link Japan has the prime mover and trailer for $91.00 even with S&H you would still beat the $127 cost. I just ordered the M577 from them to replace the terrible job I did on one in my youth. I can do better now (I hope).

I would like: (A) lots of PE sets for KV 1s, T-34/76/85s, T-26s, STUG III F/G, etc.
( B) lots of Fruil or Model Kasten or Anvil tracks for the above;
(C) More reference books;
(D) A 4-megapixel digital camera with at least 3x optical zoom and macro
capabilities ( 4 meg is really overkill for this, but I take a lot of scenics
when i travel)
(E) More time to work with the stuff I already have...

You identified the greatest of all gifts....time! I might actually be able to finish some of the models I have, if I only had time and the winnings from the lottery in the bank

It was the vehicle between the T-34 and the T-54/55. It just missed seeing combat in WWII and was never really put into major production as far as I know.

Adam--that is pretty neat looking. Dagger 1 and I will embark on a Tamiya M-26 build this December as I finish the USMC Sherman and get the LVT 1 underway. I am not into the Russia vehicles, but that does look nice. Hope you get it for Xmas. (:-) (:-)

hey Yodaman, You will love the Tamiya GMC-CCKW 6X6. I have 5 of them in my wardrobe yet to do as well as 6 Italeri closed cabs and 2 heller which are really old Italeri kits. Have a look in the rivit forum at my closed cab CCKW with # 7 wreaker set. This is based on the Italeri water tank truck.

I haven't wacthed it yet. I watched part of it on video a few years ago, but I don't really remember much about it.It'll be intersting to see if on equipment etc. how that movie matches up with the likes of Pvt. Ryan and Band of Brothers. I'll let you know more when I watch it, heck off work today, maybe I'll pop it in once the sun goes down (which is about 3:45 or 4 p.m.)

I am trying to get a digital camera too. It is expensive though...
Andrew
Consider the cost of film, processing and the shots you toss because they just didn't come out right, especially when photographing models up close and the cost of a modest digital camera doesn't seem so harsh.

I saw When Trumpes Fade on History Television here in Canada. It's about Americans in the Battle for Hurtgen Forest, which took place about the same time as the Battle of the Bulge. Despite the extraordinarily ferocious fighting, it was overshadowed by the Ardennes Offensive.
Anyway, the movie is quite good. It's pretty bloody, Saving Private Ryan or BoB style, if I remember correctly. I also recall some good shots of German 88mm guns, but I don't think the tanks were historical. I seem to remember not knowing what they were supposed to be. The battle is in a forest, though, so you don't see tanks very often. I think it's a pretty good deal if you can get that movie with BoB, as it was not bad at all.
Nic

Nic--you fine fellows have raised my interest level considerably to see BoB. Must be pretty well done.
