Well,
I'm gonna say that I would like:
1.) an aftermarket interior for my Tamiya M-26
2.) 32 scale tamiya F-4 Phantom
3.) a CD burner for my laptop

My list to give hubby is alitte bit longer, but the list he gave me is all tools for his job...

I saw When Trumpes Fade on History Television here in Canada. It's about Americans in the Battle for Hurtgen Forest, which took place about the same time as the Battle of the Bulge. Despite the extraordinarily ferocious fighting, it was overshadowed by the Ardennes Offensive.

Anyway, the movie is quite good. It's pretty bloody, Saving Private Ryan or BoB style, if I remember correctly. I also recall some good shots of German 88mm guns, but I don't think the tanks were historical. I seem to remember not knowing what they were supposed to be. The battle is in a forest, though, so you don't see tanks very often. I think it's a pretty good deal if you can get that movie with BoB, as it was not bad at all.

Nic

Nic--you fine fellows have raised my interest level considerably to see BoB. Must be pretty well done.

Very well done. Seemed very realistic to me. And the input from the men who were there makes it even better.

Cliff, since you have experince with both the Tamiya truck and the Italeri kit, could you take a look at my post here ? I was wondering if I could bash the kits together. i.e. the frame from the Tamiya kit and the cab of the Italeri kit. Thanks,

YodaMan
BTW - your truck in the rivet forum looks pretty good! Keep up the good work.

I am sure I will get another necktie, and a nice dress shirt or two for Christmas, (With tags removed, so they are not returnable) and the usual self improvement books and other relationship land mines disguised as gifts... But just like when I was in third grade. I want TOYS!

So, Here's my list of things to dream about...
1) Dragon or DML SCUD
2) Emhar British Mk IV "Male"
3) Tauro Sturmpanzerwagen A7V
4) Special Hobby X-15
5) another circuit in my basement, so I can run my vac-former, and enough lights to see what I am doing at the same time (I hate having half price sales on lumpy canopies!)
6) Gundam Warrior kits, and the time to build them with my goddaughter. (I don't care what the subject matter is, any model I build with the kid is okay in my book. Even if it is a pink car...or a robot cartoon)
7) F-350 4X4 dually to haul kits home from the hobby shop, and to haul my resins and vacs to shows to sell them.... Okay, I may be stretching it a little bit here, but this is a "Wish" list. Make it dark blue, with a fifth wheel please.

At least my ex girlfriend always sends me a model kit for Christmas... (Maybe it's because I send her expensive chocolates, and romance novels)

Now I gotta finish building the M2A2 I got last year...

Ooh, just thought of another gift idea!
Fender 50's Stratocaster Electric Guitar! See it at Musician'sFriend.com
It's got a V-neck, classic hardware, aged plastic parts, and of course the colors. I'd get the baby blue one. Here's the red one:

I figure I could actually justify getting one, now that I can recognizably play 'One Last Breath' by Creed.... :-)

Dear Santa, I've been as good as I could be.Please realize that all things are relative and that episodes while driving and fights with the cat over who owns the meat on the bar-b-que should be taken in their proper context. Therefore,I have been pretty good and really deserve to have my greed assuaged again.I would squeal with delight and dance with joy if I found, under the tree on Xmas morn the following; The Firefly book from Barbarossa, the new DML Nashorn( if it's available),the new M3A3, and any of that horribly expensive resin stuff from PSP,WESPE,PLUS,REAL, etc such as the trucks and cars that look too cool to resist. HMMM? Guess I better get shopping.JOCK

I know what Yodaman wants the geetar for. He is having trouble getting scale wire to use so the strings will come in handy. Then he won't need to buy balsa wood for buildings etc either

DJ: not a guitar, two guitars! :-) #:-)

Besides, buying a guitar is at most a yearly thing.. buying models is a monthly, if not a weekly event! I've decided that I'm going to get Emhar's British Mk. IV for myself this winter anyway... And when Hobby Lobby decides to have another 33 or 50% off sale, I'll be the owner of a Dragon Wagon.
Also: if my hero is a 21 inch tall green guy, why not give him a guitar to make him larger than life? (imagine the Yoda-speak version of 'Americn Pie'.... or not)

I have been such a heck of a nice guy this year that I decided to buy myself a few Christmas gifts. So, enroute is the Tamiya M-577 which I want to build to correct current standards and Gunze Sanyo 37mm AT on a 251 chassis.
Be good to yourselves and tell us what you are going to get yourself....you deserve it. (:-) (:-)

I recently got the round one from Grandad's (they still have a few) and am planning to get the Hex set direct from Historex soon. I've ordered from them before and was pleased with their service.
