I asked John Delamater, and he dinna say they would re-release the whole kit, but then again, I dinna ask about that.
He did say that the engine deck was being re-made, so that the hatches could open (properly hinged) and the exhaust deflector was assembled from styrene and PE, not cast.
Whether they'll be part of a renovated E8 kit or not is debatable, and if it is, expect the price to jump quite a bit.

If you want an RC-stripped Tamiya Sherman kit, i think I can find one to use for an M4A3E8...
