Here are some pictures of my latest project: The Tamiya 1/16 full option Leopard 2 A6. It is built pretty much OOB with a few AM parts. It is painted with Tamiya Acrylics and washed with oils. I am seriously considering to remove the loaders MG since it is, sorry to say, a piece of rubbish. The tracks have not been weathered since it basically weather itself, simply by driving it. The Tank is not "the perfect build" since I have discovered some mold seams here and there (AAAARRGH), but I am quiet happy with the result. That said, I am not sure if my skills do this magnificent kit the justice it deserve, but it has been a lot of fun building it, and it is a lot of fun driving it. Here is a link to my "build log" if you want to see how it looks inside. And now, Back to 1/35 scale!!!
Cheers
Erik

Awesome! Any plans to add Tamiya's 1/16 Bundeswehr tanker to the commander's hatch?

German - not norvegian ???
Looking good, I thing I would give the metalparts of the tracks some color - like the stuf you used to "blue" guns in the old days, leaving a brownish finish.
Otherwise - great work.

We use the A4. The A6 is much to heavy for proper use in narrow Norwegian valleys.

Good Idea, think I have some of that stuff in the Armory.

Beautiful piece of work Erik. Love the paintjob.
I agree with Jan, the tracks look a bit fresh.

It looks awesome!
Now, get it in the mud and show us pics of this beast handling the real outdoors...
(loved the pics of the building process!)

That would be Leopard 2A6EX. Regular 2A6 has only longer gun barrel - otherwise it is the same as Leo 2A5.
