Good morning everyone,
here is a little progress I made to my been house. Sorry for the poor quality of my photos but they were taken by my mobil phone. Please tell me your oppinions about the walls. Do they look convincing?
Tonight, Ihope to find some time to wheather it a little bit and I will be back with new photos.

Hi IGI, this is a real nice start you've got here, I like the field stone the size look right to scale. What did you use to represent the stone.
I'm wondering about the strength of the styrofoam used for the balcony, looks like it may be to weak.
Look forward to the next pics.

Thank you guys,
You really give me strength to continue. The stones are made of beens cut in half and glued with white glue. Then I applied toilet papper with a mix of white glue and water. You are right about the balcony. Unfortunatelly I had a very thick foam and I took the bad decesion to use it for walls also. I 'm going either to replace it or to fix it by filling it with putty and wood. I haven't decide yet.

If you can't make it thicker, the alternative is to make its span (the distance from the vertical wall to the edge of the balcony) shorter. The general rule is the more it sticks out, the thicker it needs to be if the balcony slab is going to support itself. Another alternative is to put some brackets to support the balcony slab.

You might just add some supports to the balcony, that would be an improvement that would help. You have a good start, keep up the good work.

AH! Now I get it! The house is a BEAN house, not a BEEN house. No worries mate. Your English is still better than my Greek!
Allora, se vogliamo parlare in Italiano, c'e' la faccio!
EDIT by EAGLE : Good thinking ! I changed the topic's title to Bean in stead of Been

Hi there Igi !
Nice house you got there! :-)
The stones(beans) look very nice!
As for the balcony i think the others have allready covered it and i think it's really good advise to put some supposts for it!
If you're doing after all one of the old houses here in Greecethey all had supports for balconys!
Good work!
Cheers!!

Good day every one,
thank you for your comments. Yes my friends the correct word is BEANS. instead of pressing the A button, I pushed the E button. Note that bean soup is the traditional food of Greece and I wrote it wrong!!!!!!! me guys. Next time I'll read my message before I send it.
Conserning the balcony,in the future I'm about to put 2 wooden supports above it, on the left and on the right.

Hi Igi. This might give you some ideas asto how it should or could look. I think this is from a house in Sicily.
For details to dress up your house, Id recommend the MiniArt accessory kit 35005. It has loads of windows, doors, street lamps, wall lamps, balcony doors and balcony railings. Its quite well priced as well.

hi guys,
yes my brother George, I meant below not above. I'm afraid that I MUST refresh my english the sooner.
Plastocbattle thank you for the photos. This kind of balcony I had in mind. Conserning the windows, I'm going to try making them using coffe sticks or matches.
Have a nice day every one
