hey
Im making a dragon Kink Tiger and ive fished doing the base coat and i would like to know how to paint thin lines on the tank without making a mess of it at the same time.

Hi Matt... you can try hand brushing. It takes a bit of practice to get the perfect outlines you want. Another way would be to mask the areas you want painted and airbrush the paints on.

I do it by hand(brush), use a lead pencil b6 or b8 to draw the lines onto the model firstly, the paint over the lines, like a colouring book.

Are you hoping to have the "sprayed-on" look? If so, your best bet is to use a fine nozzle airbrush, using very thinned paint, having about 8-10 PSI of pressure and holding the airbrush nozzle about 1-2cm from the model surface. Do you have experience with an airbrush?

If not, and you still want the feathered look, try using ground pastels. Smear them along a defined "line" and it can somewhat simulate a sprayed on snake camo line.
