Was the limber used for the 17 pdr the same as that used by the 25 pdr with a re-arranged ammunition tray?
Any thoughts?

I do believe that the 17pdrs that did use a limber, used the same limber as the 25pdr (Trailer No. 27) with only the trays being changed out to accommodate the longer 17pdr shells.
Perhaps someone with more info can confirm.

I've seen a picture of the Motorized 17 pdr, a modification by Dr. Straussler, used a 25 pdr limber. Also couple of 17 prds were issued on 25 pdr trailers. I've not seen any proof yet of 17 prds on their normal trailer using a limber ....
