Maybe we should just forget about the student qualification.

Since grad students are allowed I will jump in. I will most likely either do the Tamiya T-55A (already have 2 on order) or onw of the Trumpeter M1A1s (have been meaning to get ever since I saw Dave's (ss-74) in the Rivet Review forum. So this party kicks off in January right?

I kind of like the idea of doing themed group builds rather than single vehicle group builds. It is too hard to get everyone to agree to a single model, but by opening it up to a theme you can include a bunch more people. Maybe in the future we can start group builds like:

1) Operation Barbarossa - includes anything that either Germany or Russian would have fielded during the summer of 1941
2) Normandy to Breakout - anything that would have been fighting in the Norman countryside during the summer of 1944.
3) Pacific War - anything that would have been involved either fighting for or against the Japanese during WWII
4) Vietnam
5) Korea

I have a suggestion for WWII modellers, the Academy M3 Stuart Honey.
Now what about aftermarket details. I always go all out and buy PE, gun barrels and other accessories. (read my post for Panther 411 in the Rivet review forum to see how much use)

How does that sound Andy, even if you just do the base kit?

I say we call every person not currently enrolled in a school or university who wants to join in an honorary member of the school of life. How say you, Branden? Your runnin' this thing.

Also, I will probably get an early start on it, as I will be gone for half of december and part of January. Goin' out to Utah to spend time with my six brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, two grandparents-in-law, 65 cousins-in-law, and two parents-in-law. My wife has a big family. It makes it hard to remember names, but is good when you get married (More presents). Anyway, I will be gone for a while so I might just get a start on my DML M1A1-HA as soon as I finish the M-18 Hellcat I'm doing. I just need to paint the tracks and do a little bit of weathering.
