I had a couple of ideas and I`m not so sure wich one to take
I have a german fieldkitchen for a long time now and I really had one single purpose for it in a dio. Last week I thought out a quite funny scenario. The german fieldkitchen were mostly horsedrawn (I don`t know picss that show something else )
My idea was that the horse went scared of something and just run off with the kitchen behind him. The dio would show the fieldkitchen itself on it`s side onto the ground leaking the soup all over the place and the horse driver and the driverspart of the fieldkitchen into the canal that is next to the road. on the side of the road are some german soldiers laughing.
Further I have this big project "Eis Frei" that shows a stug 40f that got stuck on the road in russia during that campaign. The officers are discussing what they should do next while the normal footsoldiers are playing on the ice next to the road throwing snowballs at each other. I would say that this project is for onethird finished.
Further I`m planning to make the whole cafe of Renee Artois from the british humorseries
"Allo Allo"
And then I got a couple of oher project ideas in my mind that are a little smaller

I really have some very good ideas at this moment and it all started with this contest. it was also the first time that I made my own building. and since I found out that it`s so easy to do it yourself the ideas are just raging through my head.
And about the showing of my future projects...... I`m planning to make my own site as well and that will function more as a greater fotoalbum/gallery than that MSN thing wich is almost filled with the pics of DISTRACTION but more of that in the future

Excallent! You've got me beat there! I love your creativity, you got very ingenious with some of the supplies. You definitely hit on the overall idea of scratchbuilding for not a lot of money, hats off to you.

I have to agree with you
that this was the cheapest to achieve plus the fact that it`s made of stuff that you`ll be able to find in every household.
and it is very funny and satisfying to make

Now with the change in your text from stolen to donated you might be liable for non-disclosure of donations in your tax accounts. You may want to talk to your accountant about this serious breech.

That's a very nice dio !
But there's only one thing that looks a bit strange to me : the thickness of the wall.
I feel that it looks a bit thick for a continental european building... But that's definitely not a detail that's shocking, and I'm no specailist of such matters !

I dont think this is a problem as with most older houses of this age, there were no two walls the same thickness.
When i was younger I worked with plasterers for 9 months and some renovations jobs would have made your mind boggle. When using cement to straighten walls, one particular wall in an old house took more than 15 barrow loads of cement to straighten.

Pen pen
the building is a Stalingrad civillian building.
The thickness and the two wall masonary is something I copied from an old verlinden building. I measured the wall and it`s exactly 1 centimeter thick so I made my wall 1 cm thick too
the double wall i also copied so maybe the verlinden building was not so good reference but then you have to blame verlinden

I'm not going to blame anyone !
I think that Plasticbattle is very right : my opinion was made considering the little I know about buildings ! And I realy don't know much... And it's true that back then, standardizing was unknown.
