Can anyone confirm if DV M4A1's were used by British / Commonwealth / Polish forces in NWE. If any thoughts as to where I might find photos.

I think that Sherman IIs weren't that common in NWE, and I can't offhand remember any photos of DV ones(bound to be proved wrong though). The only DV of any sort I can remember is a Polish one (Sherman V I think) in one of the Osprey Vanguards (by a process of elimination I think it might be Steve Zaloga's early one on the Sherman).

Pretty sure that some American M4A1s made it to France, specially the south where the tank units generally had older material.
