Does anyone have any reference material relating to the universal carriers used by Carrier platoon, Yeomanry Armoured Detachment in 1940?
They were fitted with armoured roofs whilst serving in Britain on anti-invasion operations.
The osprey book has a clour plate of one of them, but as i intend to scratchbuild the roof i need more pictures or plans.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Joe

Dave,
Thanks for the reply. The photos in your gallery are great, but unfortunately not what im looking for.
The vehicles im refering to had a large metal roof, supported by struts welded to the sides of the hull. I believe they were designed to provide the crew with protection against air attack.
regards
Joe

Why not try contacting the Tank Museum directly and see if they can help you. Of course there may be only one picture in captivity......
