Hello again!
Remember some time ago the idea of making curtains using teabag? Well, here is an example of it. I moistened (painted) the paper with very thin blueish acrylic paint, then folded it in place. Those folds are nasty to make! However, once attached to the brass bar with CA glue, it dries up and stays put.
I also added a demolished roof section and it definitely looks better now. I still have a lot of rubble to add in the upstairs though.

the wall/floor line may look even better if you put a plint against the wall... That's often overlooked. What do you think ?

It´s funny, there are many details I only noticed when I took the close-up picture. I wonder, how the hell did I do all this, without seeing what I did? Must be the magic touch I guess.

Yeah Faust, you´re right. The piece is "floating". There is some carpentry to be made. Funny how different everything looks from this point of view. Part must have moved before the glue cured. I´ll fix that anyway!

Under adding battledamage you mean more bricks and debrie at the bottom of your house??
I Think you should do that from out my meaning. That gives the viewer an image of the size of your building.
I would add a ladder or a rope with notches too or is it possible for the sniper to climb along the edges of the building??
You could also give the man a partisan paper or a propagandaleaflet

Faust, more rubble in the downstairs there will be. Nt so much bricks but maybe destroyed furniture or similar. There is no way a large pile of wall remains had fallen in the corner as the floor above is intact. Besides, there was a fire and most of the wooden parts were burned.
I´m not going to add any Partisan propaganda stuff, this guy is on a mission and he´s not selling his ideology. His mission is to watch the area and shoot to kill anything on sight. The nasty SOB.
I try to keep some limit with the amount of distracting elements here, the figure is the main thing.
Sorry, no ladder, no rope. The building is definitely bigger than what is seen here, and I don´t see a problem in assuming that he found his way up there somehow. In fact, at first I thought about cropping the scene to the second floor only...

Rubble and debris should include electric wiring and piping.
I liked the window blinds in your first drawing, but I can't find them in the dio. They would be superb (but hard to build...).

Window blinds..wires..yes yes! Patience! Wait til I get home and have some building done!

Jan, I´m still thinking about the blinds, for the piping I need some more stuf from the hobby store...
However, I´m taking it easy with adding more stuff in there, I don´t want it to look too "done"...
The crucifix was made of brass and steel wire. First the brass cross and over that the tiny Jesus H. Christ of steel wire painted black. And I guarantee you that the strap of the Mosin-Nagant is exactly as it´s supposed to be!
About the cigarette...it actually looks like Dragan is smoking grass.. #:-) #:-) #:-)

The snow is thinned white wall putty and hair spray with baking soda over that. The snow work took fifteen minutes. It´s not about what you use, it´s where you put it!
The chair is made of an ice cream stick with toothpick legs. The back panel was moistened then bent to make Dragan comfortable.

Hi Toni,
I must say I'm quite impressed! I just got another idea: how about a pair of binoculars on the ground next to him? I know he has a scope, but the field of view is very limited (I can know: I've been shooting with a sniper rifle ). Binoculars on the other hand are more suitable for general observation (I hope you dont have to break the bank for one, otherwise I would be glad to donate in to you )

No! Absolutely not!!!!
Binoculars will be hanging from the back of the chair. I just "happen" to have spare binoculars for Dragan.
I was going to put them in some time but I totally forgot it. Thanks for the reminder!

Excellent work Toni. The relaxed pose you have captured is amazing. With all of that detail I still find myself looking at the figure. Therefore I would say you have suceeded!!
