Happy Birthday Armorama.
It is for sure that Armorama is much more than a simple modelling site. I know it better when I find myself sharing the happiness and the sadness of the members with my wife and talking about them just like my closest friends.

Congratulations Jim.
I remember Sabot (Rob) on RMS telling me about this great new site. From the beginning Armorama was special.
When I joined I was number 55 and I was just a young 55 year old pup. What a great job Jim and the staff have done over the years. Thanks to all of you for giving us a great resource, and a home.

Hi Jim,
Congrats and happy birthday! Well, I joined within a week of its first anniversary, and have gladly spread your word throughout the other sites I used to frequent.
Keep up the good work!

happy B-day to the big A.. and I must say this site has grown and been very enjoyable. I started seriously Model building as a hobby in December 2001.. why just 4 years ago isn't that funny..
and Armorama was one of the first sites I hung out on reading the forums.. My only regret is that I lurked for so long before signing up.....

I was almost suprised to hear that this site is only 4 years old. From the look of it and the membership I would have sworn that it was much older.
I only got back into the hobby a couple years ago. One of the first sites I found on the internet was this one and I was very impressed.
Its helped me out soooo much in getting back into the hobby and learning new skills etc.
I am amazed at how it united so many of us from all over the world regardless of where we are from. Its really quite remarkable.
I have met some really good folks on here and look forward to the furure of the site.
Thanks Jim

Eh, What the heck! HAPPY BIRTHDAY +1 (technically +2 as of right now)
Honestly, this site has done so much for me. I talk about it all the time to my friends. When I first tell them I model, they look at me funny and say, "You model? Dude, you're kind of ugly!" I shake my head and then say, "No I do models." Their response, "Sweet, I didn't know you had it in you! Those girls must be really hot!" I shake my head again and show them the website.
So besides the conversation, I have met so many people that I have never physically met. Cliff Hutchings (MrRoo) from Queensland (I can't afford enough money to go to Florida, much less to Australia to meet him) and Joe Szczygielski (Mother) in New York (who would want to go there), to guys that live in my home state: Shaun Keenan from Indyish to a guy that even lives on my dorm floor!
The information and detail that passes through this site each day about family friends, and - of course - models is phenominal. Great job to the Jim for starting it and for his utter dedication to it; to the staff for their enormous supporting role in helping Jim get sleep at night; and most importantly to the members that grace this site every day. Armorama is the focal point that it is today because of its members. I mean this with everything that I can give: THANK YOU
Now what do I say for year five?
Happy Holidays
Jeff

Only 4 years? I've spent so much time cruising the gallery and making posts it seems much longer than 4 years. Since I joined Dec 2003 Big A was only 2 years old when I joined.
