if you use
www.armorama.net you should have no problems.

It shouldn't be a domain issue as armorama.com and .net point to the same server now. If it is a browser issue I would also be surprised.
Most likely we are just seeing peak usage in the winter months and having things like the Front Gate (user list at bottom) still doesn't help us there. I was also doing some server restarts today for the site I am working on at work. That might have caused some issues.
