Today is PAK-40-day.
During the assembly of DML's Late PAK 40 I encountered a few issues with the supplied instruction sheet. Especially in step 6 there are a few errors and points that need clarification in my opinion. So I decided to do a few photos on the build process I performed.
I will also show a way how to realize a movable gun-section.
Constructive critism is welcome.

Nicely illustrated, Patrick. This will be very useful to those working on the Pak 40.
It is a bit too late for me. As you said the instruction wasn't very clear at that stage so I made a guess. A guess that was pointed out wrong by Vinnie. At the end I removed part B38 and glued B32 at the bottom of the gun breech. You cannot see very much of part B38 after assembly anyway but mine cannot slide like yours either.
Mine has another problem. The gun cannot elevate at all probably due to the weight of the alumnium barrel. The gun isn't sitting on the frame positively either. I might have done something wrong here.

arrrggghhh!!!!
so the gun can slide! too late for me
this has to be the finest kit I have constructed yet, I was so pleased with it that I did it in express time. yes, I figured out the mistype despite my speed (I still did test fits), but like donald I can't get the gun to elevate.
maybe it's time to buy a second one to make it slide...

thx for your comments.
after checking the features on this page, i discovered a wrong assembly of the gun-section so i decided to do a build clarification on it.
Feature by Rob Lively:
the movable gun-section is just a byproduct.
since i haven't reach the stage of final assembly i cannot comment on the problem with the evalation, but it sounds reasonable. i encountered the same problem with my DML FLAK 88.
