Here´s a few pics of one day´work. It´s the Zvezda T-38 in Finnish markings.
It´s my first tank ever and I wanted to try out the chipped paint effect.
Tank is shown in clumsy (field modification?) winter camo, painted over olive green. I used Lifecolor olive green acrylic as a base colour, then added a layer of white enamel and finally sprayed it all over with warm white car paint. I let it dry for fifteen minutes. Then I took a bad brush and applied thinner over the model, small area at a time. Using a toothpick I scrubbed some paint off. Next I added some rust and dirt stains using oils. I may have overweathered it already, but I can always make up a story where this tank has been abandoned for some time before the Finns aquire it...
The model is going to get some heavy mud in the wheel area and I think I´m gonna display it as a small vignette, with a lonely walking soldier offering some tobacco to the tank commander for a ride in a horrible weather.
Some details (like tools) are still unpainted.
The kit itself was actually very pleasant to build. For a tank beginner like myself the half-individual track links gave enough to worry. Of course, I assembled the tracks going in the wrong way...

I replaced the useless DT machine gun with a Model Kasten one, scratchbuilt the top hatch and engine grille plus some details here and there. Towing cable was replaced but I used the ends of it. I´m still wondering if the blue stripe should go around the tower...
Comments and critic very welcome!
