Just came across this one while searching a photo hosting website called http://flikr.com . I'm not sure it's Iraqi but I hope it's not US !
I would describe it as being a cross between an Airstream trailer and a Spanish Civil War truck....

flickr.com is another good source for OIF pics BTW...

If there wasn't four of them I'd think it was a joke mock-up somebody made when they got really really bored. Or maybe some sort of target practice vehicle. Scary.

On Military.com, some time ago, there was an article about armored buses used to transport people from the airport to Baghdad proper. Wonder if this isn't the follow-on upgraded buses??? Kinda neat tho!

The armored buses used in Iraq are purpose built vehicles called Rhinos.
Those "things" in the picture are not any new and improved sort of follow on to the Rhinos.
I'd put my money on those being some sort of Iraqi internal security vehicle used by the police or their spec ops...........OR they could be vehicles from one of the coalition countries.

I think they're some sort of armoured Land Rovers. Bit like the Pigs in Northern Ireland. The front looks a bit tall in comparison with a human for a Landy, but a raised suspension and added armour might give that impression. And they're certainly AFVs not just transport. Going from the gun ports.

I'm not sure...Looking closer at the wheels, they look like truck wheels, with dual mounts for the rear axle.

You're right,Frenchy. But didn't Humber do that with some of the Pig-type Landies? Wish we could see a few more angles.

Dave I think you are confusing the conversions done by shortlands on Landrover chassis, one was an APC version and the other was called a Patrol vehicle and mounted a .30 Browning turret the same as on the Ferret and Saracen which were mainly issued to the UDR as opposed to the Humber Pig which was the 50's APC pressed into service

My guess would be that they are one of the vehicles being used by standard Iraqi Army units when moving troops from one location to another in convoy. During OIF 2, the method was to pile a bunch of soldiers into trucks and buses, then have a US escort to get them from point A to point B. As the year progressed, the vehicles became a little more standardized, with vehicles like that showing up towards March of 2005. So that would be my guess. A vehicle used by the Iraqi Army to move troops en-mass. I'd venture to say it's not a US item, because of the guys hanging around the front-not U.S. Soldiers.
