Welcome aboard!
Don't worry about being a 'newbie' everyone here is great and really wants to help out. Everyone is very patient and helpfull.
This site has A Lot of help and useful information. I would honestly spend an hour or two just poking around every link you can find.

Previous posters have pointed out that rank=# of posts. Staff_Jim owns/runs the site with several of us assisting as moderators in the various forums. Tin_Can (Bryan) normally handles uploading of photos in Jim's absence (he's moving from US East Coast to West Coast this month). There is a site where most of the modelers post pictures of their work. Guys, is it Yahoo or MSN?
I can upload photos of vehicle references if you have some. Jim tries to stick to photos that we take ourselves as opposed to photos taken from magazines or other web references. He thinks that it would be a waste of space to upload a photo readily available from other websites, and we agree. If you visit my motorpool in the gallery you will see some examples of photos I take of modern US equipment for modelers to use to detail their own kits.
As one of the original members, along with Ken (Kencelot), Jim (Guntruck/Gunnie) and several others who joined about 1 year ago (you can "see" someone's enlistment date under their avatar picture), I'd like to welcome you to the site. You'll find this one of the friendliest modeling sites on the web.

Lest,
Welcome aboard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The thing to remember is that there are no beginners or experts here. We all love the hobby and want to share what we know. As you may see, there is a diverse mixture of people here. From young adults and students (Yodaman and Lifestyle to name a few) to veterans of the Armed Forces ( Sabot, Heavyart, Tin-Can, and myself to name a few more.)
Sit back and enjoy and dont be shy. There is no such thing as a dumb question here, just quite a few of us that like to sniff the glue alot. LOL!!!!! J/K!!!!! #:-) #:-) #:-)

Welcome!
If you want to post pictures of your work on-line, the easiest way to do it is to head over to the Armorama@MSN website!
Many members have photo galleries there, myself included.
Hope to see some of your work soon!

Hi David,
As you will see I haven't been a member of this site for very long. It is definately the best site of it's kind about. No one tries to get "one over" on anybody else and everyone is friendly and helpful. I love it. Welcome, have a look around, there are plenty of strings about what is your favourite this or that, post on them and you will soon increase you rank :-)

Welcome LWF,
Like said before rank is just a matter of how much you say in posts.
Just enjoy what is offered over here and participate in whatever you like....and believe me there's plenty of it to enjoy.
Hang around, follow posts and I hope after some time you'll also draw the conclusion you've made lots of new friends over here..
And if you've got knowledge or some pics to share...be hour guest !!
Welcome !!
Enjoy !!

I'm kind of late to the welcoming party, it's amazing what one can miss in just a few hours away from here.
Welcome aboard LWF! Glad to have you join in. I've seen your name in the Front Gate a few times so you probably have a pretty good idea of the great things that take place here.
By your fifth post you will have been promoted to the rank of Private.
Yodaman gave you a terrific site to start uploading those pics you have for sharing.
Hope to see you around.

Welcome. Don't be afraid to ask what you think is the most asinine question in the world. Chances are I have asked it. Everyone in here has been more than friendly and more than helpful. They say that Disneyland is the happiest place on earth, well I have found this to be the friendliest site on the internet.
Again, welcome.
Again, welcome.
