I'm in the process of building the 1/35 Emhar British 16 pdr kit--something that I could complete relatively quickly!! By the way, forget the three figures...they're awful! The piece goes together very well. My interest is in finding a decent reference on WWI artillery, more than just a few grainy pictures here and there which, although very interesting, do not provide much detail information. My particular problem concerns color schemes. Would Tamiya Khaki Drab be appropriate?

The most detailed book on the 18-pounder (& others) is: Early British Quick Firing Artillery by Trawin.
There is an Osprey book that is more general & contains their usual color drawings: British Artillery 1914-1919 (Field Artillery) by Clarke & Delf.
And yet another: British Artillery Weapons & Ammunition 1914-1918 by Hoog & Thurston
I've got that Emhar kit & intend to extensively rework it.

The Osprey book is one of the better ones in the series as far as illustration goes.
