Now that the forum is growing, it's necessary to lay down some rules.
#1: No flame wars, insults, verbal attacks, or making comments about one's mother, religion, ethnicity, or how ugly someone's kids are. We're here for one purpose, and that's LARGE SCALE ARMOR. That may, or may not, include R/C operation. Some of us build large static armor, so keep that in mind when you post.
#2: Think before you press the submit button. I expect this forum to be free of controversy. In other words, don't bring your problems here unless they specifically pertain to building a model. Those problems are welcomed and encouraged.
#3: The bashing of advertisers or their products will not be tolerated, regardless of whether they advertise on Armorama or not. Constructive criticism is fine, and voicing an opinion is great, provided it's done in a civil manner.
#4: Advertising on this forum: Those advertisers you see on the left pay for the right to promote their products. Please be respectful of that. If you operate a commerical website offering items for sale, I request that you make arrangements with the management if you wish to promote your products on this forum. If you're an end-user looking to buy or sell something that you no longer have a use for, fine, but do not abuse the priviledge.
#5: Moderators cannot be here at all times. If you have a problem with something on this forum and cannot resolve it between yourselves, it comes to me first via email or personal message. I however, will not mediate disputes or take sides. I will simply delete the thread, period. Just like we were told by our parents when we were growing up, "I expect you to be on your best behavior." I personally have little patience for arguments and squabbles, and its been conveyed to me by other forum members that they come here to AVOID it.
#6: If you have a question with any of these rules, please feel free to contact me, as I, and only I, am the person responsible for creating them. The rules of this forum may or may not be the opinion of Armorama, and are subject to changes.
#7: These rules might seem too harsh, but if everyone's civil, polite, and considerate of each other, NONE of these will be an issue.
#8: If your post gets deleted or edited, it probably because it violated one of the rules listed above, or, most likely, it's to prevent a flame war from starting.
With my sincere hopes that we can all tank together nicely,
Jeff Herne

Jeff,looks good!
I have a question however. I noticed my post in the 'welcome' thread has been deleted, and I am at a loss as to why.
I did mention in the post that I was involved with RC Tank HQ, that it was set up by RC Tank Clubs from around the world, that we had a 'club development program' to help people get together with others in their area, and posted the link www.rctankhq.com .
I can only think that either I'm not 'welcome' , or that somehow I contravened the until today, nonexistent forum rules .If the latter was the case, then surely the deletion of my entire post was not warranted, with only an edit being necessary.
Having read the rules, and with THQ not being a commercial website as such, am I allowed to re-post my deleted post?
There is a lot of referencing of hobby related websites going on on Armorama for informational purposes, I wonder why THQ was singled out.

I don't know why, I haven't been in the welcome forum for months.
I didn't do it. Re-post it. There's no conspiracy about whether or not people are welcome or not welcome.
Everyone is welcome if they can behave.
