Does anybody knows how to use this sheet? Is a piece of paper with both side printed with pea dot camou. Its meant for the 1/35 figures uniform. But i dont know how to use it and it doesn't come with instructions. I tried soaking it in water thinking that it works like a decal but it doesn' t work..any advice?

hello,

there are zeltbahn (correct spelling ?) used by german army. It was multifunctional uses. But the most common usage was for tent and poncho. The peas mean it's for the ss. Normally, with the kit you get instruction to make tent or poncho. You don't need to put it in water or whateverelse. Just bend.
Hope this will help you.

I have the same camo sheet. It is meant to be a sheet of fabric if you will. Do anything with it. Fold it, cut it, soak it in soapy water and drape it over a tank. The most common use for it would be the zeltbahn. This was used primarily as a poncho but could be used as a shelter. It was issued to SS units but, given the carnage and confusion of the second half of the war, any wermacht landser could have picked one up and used it. There are even cases of US GI's using them. Instructions are not included. In my opinion it is a very useful little item.

If it doesn't have instructions, & you want to "dress" a couple of figures in ponchoes, here's how to do it.
In the centre of each triangle, there should be a slit marked on, carefully cut this, slip the triangle over the figures head, then bring the two ends round to the front & fasten them (on the real garment there was a line of buttons stitched on all the way round, this allowed it to be buttoned close around the legs to ride a horse or bicycle, or for several to be fastened together to make a tent), just butt join them. Leave the pointed piece hanging down over the chest. This was the method of wear usually used, the ponch being waterproof. Also with the shortage of camo gear, it was frequently worn in this way for concealment.
One on it's own could be used as a bivouac or shelter quarter, four buttoned together in a square made a four man tent.
I wouldn't wet them, I think they'd just dissolve!
