Good morning, Jim!
Just hopped on to Armorama at my job PC (Shhh. don't tell!! ) and saw the photo's at the heading of each of the forums with the forum hosts featured. Nice touch, Commander, always classy, I must say! All changes thus far to this wonderful site have been top notch. Thanks for all of your hard work!
Mark

Thanks Dave. Does really say much for my ability to "scout" things when I couldn't even find pictures on the site...

For a while I was thinking what the hell was my mug posted? Am I wanted or something? :-) :-) :-) :-) Nice little touch staff_jim. BTW, I'm updating my photo anytime soon, does this also affect the photo posted?

You should be able to either edit the existing photo and replace the file with a new image (a bit tricky to find but the function is there), or you can just delete the existing photo and upload a replacement.
Photos should be 75 x 75 pixels to fit the space properly. The easiest way to do that on most photo applications is to draw a square selection box around your face and then crop to that size. Then if the image is larger than 75 pixels (which it should be) then re-size the image down to that level and save.
Cheers,
Jim

I think it is an interesting concept having photos of the forum hosts at the top of each forum front page.
On the one hand it makes the site seem friendlier.
On the other it could scare new members away. :-)

I know Jim said this would be a tricky thing to do (changing the photo) but I went lookin' anyway.
I searched the site for the old Rogue's Gallery - thinking the photos might be there. Alas, no - but what I found was a welcomed blast from the past. I hadn't seen the old Gallery in a long time. I went through a thread where we were talking about uploading photos of ourselves - back in April 2002.
Almost four years ago - brought back a lot of great memories and a new appreciation for all the site is today and the members who are here now...
