According to the Osprey "Men at Arms" on the Falklands land war, no FV432s were used. Looks like there were only 2 Scorpion, 2 Scimitar, and 1 Samson.

There were 4 Scimitars, 4 Scorpions, 1 Samson, 2 CET, and a Centurion BARV in the Falklands.
The CVRTs were split into two Troops...each had 2 Scimitars and 2 Scorpions.
Check out the current discussion about the Falklands CVRTs.

FV432s are in use on op telic, and have been since the opening battles. They are mainly used as support vehicles in armoured infantry battalions - mortar carriers/ambulances etc.
Are you sure, everything ive ever seen suggests 2 scimitars, 2 scorpions a samson and BARV.
Cheers
Joe

Ah! The "Scarlet Pimpernel" FV432 raises it's head again.
Probably the most non-noticed vehicle the British Army has used for about forty years! :-) :-)
They're practically everywhere!
Did you know that a "modern" version should soon be appearing.
I asked an old, "old sweat" (an older "sweat" than me)why the 432 should still be around. He gave me a funny look and replied, "because its been tried and tested everywhere and does what is required of it almost perfectly!"

Joe,
I have seen info on the 2 Scimitars and 2 Scorpions, but it does not appear to explain the ORBAT or use of the Scimitars and Scorpions.
I am very sure that there was 3rd and 4th Troop of B Squadron, The Blues and Royals deployed to the Falklands. The two Troops appeared to have worked together once and for the most part were always attached to Infantry or Para Units. The Troops each had a mix of two Scimitars and two Scorpions.
Timeline-
21 May, 1982
-Both Troops landed at San Carlos, one with 2 Para and 40 Cdo, the other with 42 Cdo and four Artillery Batteries.
31 May-6 June 1982
-3rd Troop provides security for the move of 3 Cdo's Brigade HQ and are joined by 4th Troop to move closer to Stanley.
13/14 June, 1982
-3rd Troop provided fire support to 2 Para on Wireless Ridge.
13/14 June, 1982
-4th Troop provided fire support and diversionary forces for the 2nd Scots Guards at Tumbledown Mountain.
Here is an excellent reference site:

Joe,
No problem, I was really impressed when I found it. It's an excellent synopsis of the events on the Falklands.
The details related to the air, sea, and land battles in regards to equipment, troops, casualties, and awards are outstanding.
