Just an FYI if anyone in the bay area is going to Sunday's IPMS Kickoff Classic in Silicon Valley/San Jose area. The event is listed in the Events calendar if you need more info.
I will be there photographing entries for the site and connecting with area modelers. I am actually riding up with Rick and Dominic from Fresno IPMS. Thanks for the ride Rick!

Just went to their local meeting here in Fresno and found it to be very informative and fun. The first hour was devoted to tutorials on good building foundations/techniques and the second was a round robin of the room and everyone's current projects.
While I am talking about myself I should share that my wife has suffered a terrible loss this week (Wednesday night) when her father passed away in a car accident. Sadly the cause of the accident and why it happened are still a mystery to us and that is causing additional stress. It's been a pretty sad year for us in general (Since April 05) so we are really looking for an improvement soon. On a brighter note my surgery to remove my gallbladder went well and I am feeling a lot better lately.
My thanks to everyone who has sent warm wishes and prayers.
Thanks much,
Jim
