In an effort to help out Skybow, I am trying to findout what kind of demand there is for the Firefly kit they are working on. If I get get some approximatation for how many kits people are looking for I can pass the rough data on to them and see if it helps them concintrate on getting this kit out.
If the Skybow Firefly was ready to ship by the end of the week (Theoretical) how many would your purchase?

I'm hoping that we can get some rough numbers that will be helpful to Skybow in the management dept with this.

Thanks
Winston

Winston:

I would buy at least two. IMHO Skybow produce the best quarter scale armor kits on the market. A Firefly would be most welcome.

You can put me down for a couple as well, I'm halfway through their Late Tiger and it is a superb kit, regardless of scale.

Cheers

I like the looks of the Skybow Tiger and a Firefly would be a big seller. Having said that, I think they need to get off the dime and start producing more. Tamiya is cranking out kits at record pace (for them).

Many cross over modelers (1/48 scale aircraft builders wanting some piece of armor to display along side) will just want a model of a Tiger or Sherman and not really worry about the accuracy.

With that thought in mind, Skybow is missing out on sales to these folks who are buying the 1/48 scale kits readily available on the shelves.

If they have steel chevron tracks, I'm in for a least 6.

Count me in for 4 of the M4A4 hulls. If Skybow gives us the metal chevron tracks, add 2 more.

I'd buy one for sure. But I have to agree with Sabot, Skybow is going to have to crank out thier kits a tad quicker, I mean, Skybow's kits are beautiful, but with Tamiya cranking them out as fast as they are, they will definitely miss out BIG TIME if Tamiya pushes thier firefly out 1st.

Some people just will not wait, I will, but the majority wont. So hurry up SKYBOW !!

We have to keep in mind the respective size of these two companies. Think of Skybow as a basement operation, with three or four individuals, doing all the work...... I too would love to see Skybow release more models, but I'm realistic in knowing and respecting their limitations.

Frank,
Thankyou for putting some perspective on this. Yes Skybow is indeed a small company with limited resourses, I have told them that it would be nice to get the kit out before Tamiya's for a number of reasons but not to rush it out if that may mean a lesser quality product. The Skybow kits are far superior to the Tamiya kits and we will see the same in the Firefly. I'm working to get word out about thier kits so more people are aware of them . Hopefully that will help.

Since it is allied armour I'd probably pick one up if I read and saw good things about the kit. That translates to a maybe purchase for one kit.

I agree, I did understand that Skybow is a smaller company as compared to Tamiya. And I understand that even if they take a tad bit longer to come out it would still be a better product than Tamiya's.

Regardless, I will wait for Skybow's product, I waited for thier tiger, so I can wait for the Firefly.

I would buy one. That alone should make the effort worth it for them.
