Yeah over here at this corner of the world I see the Xacto blade as well.
Space 1999....brings back some memories. For some strange reason, besides the Eagles of course I only remember Maya.

you guys! honestly! you nearly got me with the "what picture, where" comments. to answer a few questions its an eagle transporter from space 1999by konami. i bought seven from a dealer on ebay for about £2.50 each plus some other gerry anderson stuff. they all came pre finished in the red striped pod colours which denotes a resue eagle. the white pod (standard eagle) started life with red stripes but i resprayed it to represent a standard eagle transporter. they are about 4 inches long and i'm not sure what scale they actually are, i do have a 1/72 die cast eagle too which is 12 inches long,so maybe someone better at maths than me could work that out. i intend to kit bash and scratchbuild different pods to represent all the eagles seen in the series, one of which will be a freighter with a winch and insanely small details which will include wires!
p.s. the fleets in town!

WOW, a sudden flash of childhood and a brief memory of a Dinky toy!
i think i still might have my Eagle Transporter up in the loft !
thanks for sharing mate !
Can you give us some info about paint and techniques you used ?
dinky eagle in the loft? you and me both mate!
nothing much to tell about the paint job on this except that i wanted to keep the little alpha logos so i carefully painted around them, then put a blob of maskol over that outline airbrushed the red stripes out, then weathered with pastels

but it's certainly not dinky, I think its like 20 " long
That would have been the Airfix one - 1/72nd scale?..Jim

i have a product enterprise eagle thats 1/72 its exactly 12 inches long (oo er missus!) so a 20 inch one (stop yer tittering!) is probably closer to 1/48
i'm a member of this forum, if you like the eagles its a pretty friendly place with a few armorama members already there
