Everything went through modelgeek a few weeks ago when there was a server change. This is probably related to the new site changes.

Check out the site news thread in the Site forum
Jim is working on content related sites with a common portal and ModelGeeks in one of those.
All a work in progress.

Model Geek..... does that mean we need to now carry our excato knives in our plastic pocket protectors?????
I must stay fashion correct you know, it so important for a person of my age (ancient) and stature (Almost dead) to always make a fashion statement, to remain a female magnet. :-)

Model geek... offensive???? Heck no! I'm a model geek and proud of it! Matter of fact, it's my ebay name. I think it' s great way to poke fun at myself. My wife likes to tell the kids "Dad's upstairs playing with his little army men" It's all just a big joke. If you're offended by "model geek" then "Techno weenie" and "computer nerd" must really set you off!!! :-) :-) :-)

Hi all!
What exactely is a model geek? I searched for a translation in Babelfish but it didn't worked. Is it something like a nerd or a creep? Sorry but you know... I'm French! :-)

Quoted Text
Geek is a nerd. A computer geek is someone who is good at fixing computers. Model geek would be a person who is knowledgeable in models.Hi all!

Creep has a totally different meaning and is derogatory. Geek can be a derogatory term, but when used as "computer geek", it is normally not offensive.
Jim talked about increasing the sci-fi content and eventually, if it breaks away like Model Ship Works, then Model Geek would become the sci-fi area of Armorama.

Geek is in..... it's the bomb...
women love Geeks..... not Nerds.....
Nerd is out.....
creep is just plain creepy..... creepy is the "hebee jebbies"(SP?).........
Weenies...... a sincere form of endearment, often misunderstood by the over sensitive crowd.

Yo Grumpy:
" . . . a fashion statement to remain a female magnet."
Oh that is good :-) :-) :-)
It is so positive, not as in "become" a female magnet,
but REMAIN a female magnet. Ah New Jersey
Garden State Dave, . . . you made ma' day, hokay
maing?
