This is my latest project. A city ruin in the ardennes with 2 americans. One holding a submg on the bottom and the other in the higher section of the building holding a sniper and aiming (the sniper in the picture actually is a garrand wich will be replaced by a sniper rifle)

The figs are dragon, base is homemade/scratchbuild (inspiration was the 'sniper alley' by verlinden)

Sorry for the pics but my flash doesn't seem te work properly...

I hope to have the base painted by the end of this week

Tell me what you think

Nice one Elvis. Just one question which may seem rather stupid.
How did the sniper get up there? It looks like a really tough climb without some other brickwork for him to climb up.
Of course we may not be 'seeing' the whole building.
Cheers

Very creative idea. I really like the shape of that very
strong vertical, the wall of the bldg.

Overall il like it very much. This will be a strong vignette.

What i do not really like is that there is not one brick in somewhat natural, horizontal position. I think you made a bit to much there to show destruction.

Cheers

I have to agree with pavel. The "sniper" should be turned around. Personally I would make him just a rifleman...a sniper would not put himself anywhere where he didn't have an escape....his too exposed there.

That's not a stupid question at all, it's the first thing I thought as wel. The remains of the floor, and the corner holding it up look far to flimsy for anybody to attempt to get up there.
I like the way you have worked with the individual bricks, sticking out of the mortar.

Good start, keep us posted on your progress.

cheers

I like the idea! I'm forced to agree with the others on the positionning question: The sniper is not very well placed if he faces the opposition from that point! BUT, if you put him shooting from the window, you have your man protected and ready to disapear at any minute!
Cheers and happy modelling!

Koen, I really like it, but have to agree that the sniper#s too exposed. Turning him around would be best, and also make it look like the SMG man is watching his back. How about some broken timbers or something to give him a way up and down?
