*THUMP*

Sorry that was me fainting and hitting the floor. I am ok now. I certainly hope more than one finds its way into my paws!

This is the model I've been waiting for! There isn't another tank out there that holds the same interest for me as the Char B1 bis.

Hopefully now, after Tamiya makes a killing on this 'oddball' realease, they will realize (along with Dragon) that there is a market for this niche.

Now bring out the D2.....

All I can say is WOW! I frankly never really expected they'd come out with this, at least not in 1/35. This is going to be very interesting, checking out the news as it becomes available. Price, value, quality, accuracy, I'm sure they are all going to be hotly debated.

As much as I would LOVE to jump for joy & kick over a few trashcans. I need something more official, not to say its not true, but you can imagine why I am asking this.

How many times have we been "given" gold only to find its "fools gold" ??? But if its true, than GREAT !!! Just one last question, will it be 1/48 or 1/35 or both ??????

Great news ..I'm sure tamiya will add some German markings and flamethrower parts (if it needs any different parts)just to make sure it sells well ...I know I'm buying at least 2!!!

Now that is a cool looking tank. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that it does become reality.

Nice to have someone put out something totally different. It sure is an ugly beast but as someone wrote, it'll go well in a diorama with an early Panzer IV. Great to hear that Tamiya is continuing on with 35th scale. Now I sure would love to see one of those Citroen Traction cars in 35th.

Excellent,I will pick up at least two of them.I have been waiting for a kit of the Char B1 for years, such a "different" looking tank. About time we got some nice early war allied stuff.

i'll be getting one as well!

speculation about working individual track links? hmmm... interesting choice given this is a model that could actually get away with having band tracks (if they were good quality).

but either way, i'm in!

now just wait for the sudden dragon release of the same tank!

Now that's a thought. You suppose we could start a rumor that AFV club or Trumpeter were about to come out with a new American half-track? (sorry, I couldn't resist)

Great news on the Tamiya WWII French Char B coming out in 1/35th. This rumor has been buzzing around for awhile, but it will be a huge breath of fresh air in the world of armor modelling if it really comes out like they say

A Pz Kpfw B2 (F) would be great if Tamiya was wise enough to include the parts for it. Either that, release a kit of this version on its own

Thanks for posting the news, Roy !

Cheers !!

Interesting choice of tanks. It seems like there would be more common Allied tanks that they could have done, but the Char B1 will be most welcome.

Any way, where are all the "Tamiya is abandoning the scale" folks? And why are they continuing to produce kits in 1/35 scale when they are so clearly "getting their butts kicked by Dragon/Trumpeter/AFV Club" (according to the above folks)?
