Here is another update on my progress. Tell me what you think about the colors I have chosen. The street and side walks have not been weathered.

If I didn't see the edge of the board on the first pic I could swear that was a pic of real people. You did a lot of great painting since you asked about all those colors.

Indeed it does look real! Great job on the wall and the figures are very convincing. Great little action scene!!

That looks great so far Keenan. Excellent choice of colors. The weathering of the park wall looks really really good.

It all looks excellent, Keenan. Very realistic. I know it's not done yet, but you should add some grass or weeds to that patch of earth where the palm tree is, particularly around the base of the trunk where it goes into the soil. There are always grasses and weeds growing in the shade.

Great looking diorama. The colours look just right and the layout is cool. I have those figures but as they are so rare I dare not use them. Im guessing its got a bit of a way to go yet, looks of rubble would look good and rubbish laying about on the streets. Most pics I have seen from Hue there is junk everywhere-especially corrigated sheet metal. Perhaps add some grunts giving cover fire, or even a dead grunt from were the wounded guy has been pulled from, to suggest the unrgancy of the situation and the danger-just an idea (if a little morbid)

Keenan,
Outstanding piece! I also like the color variations that you have used on the groundwork. Very nice!!!!
If I can be critical of anything it would only be one small thing...
You have both men dragging their comrade out of harms way while running on "tip toes".
In reality, we run on the balls of our feet and not our toes. When draggings something as heavy as a man in combat gear (dead weight) I would say that both men would surely have both feet or at least one foot planted squarely on the ground.
That being said, I think the drama you have captured here is fantastic!
Best regards,
Gary

That a bought palm or home made?

I found these at Wal-Mart they were in a after Christmas sale. The trunks are great the leaves are ok but I think some scratched ones would look better.

the drop fromthe pavement ( sidewalk) too the road is quite a high one

I wasnt sure about this but I cant really fix it now but maybe next time.

I was going to fix that but these figures are so rare i did not want to mess them up.
Maybe when I get threw littering the street those things want be to noticable.

Very nice,
Your right on w/ the colours. A small suggestion, If I may, remember there was a lot of consistant rain...so you would see along the bottom of the wall a continuous and uneven build-up of moss and lichens.
Can be accomplished w/ thinned out Elmer's glue(consitancy of milk) applied w/ a small brush, then sprinkle Woodlands Scenics Balast(greys and dark greens). I like how you used a real park as a backdrop.

I like to leave that to the imagination. Some would frown on it.
