Did some weathering on the Type 90 Wednesday night and got the decals on last night. I will seal the finish tonight and do the dry brushing this weekend. The turret decals look bad so I did not apply the markings, the bumper markings don't look as bad after the liquid decal film so they are on there.
Just some headlight and directional blinker lights to paint and I should be done...although the Tamiya book on the Type 90 (my inspiration for the winter camo) shows those tanks using white sheets as added winter camouflage for the turret and main gun. I want to try to replicate this, but I think any tissue I may use would look out of scale on a 1/76 scale tank.

Hi Robin,
try the paper used to roll your own cigarettes.
This is in no way an encouragement to smoke

And what this abbreviation AWOL stands for?
AWOL = Absence Without Official Leave or simply Absence With Out Leave
Both mean the same thing really. In true military law, this typically brings about a court marshal and then behind bars. Both of which do not apply to the campaign.

Not sure if they sell Kleenex brand tissues in the US but over here they appear to be the smoothest tissue and often works well with smaller scale kits.

Just a little update on my ODS Warrior (I do not have the intention of being reported AWOL again). As you see I have still a lot of painting left, but I'm slowly getting there. And yes, it will be finished for the end of the campaign.

Nice work on the warrior Erik. A definite addition to my stash once i get round to completing the ones i already got.
I've updated the list on the first thread. Thanks everyone for their update so far. Will be checking back more often as the due date looms closer.

Hi guys,
I'm still plugging along on my M1114. It took a long time to get the parts for the kit. I started but had to take a 3 week break from all modeling because of school and my trip to France. I got some progress done this weekend but hopefully next weekend I can get some paint on the interior and get the exterior finished for paint.
Regards
Matt

Have just updated the award list and i really do hope to add more to it.
So far we have 17 confirmed on the award list and 4 in progress. The rest (ones that didnt sound off in this thread) will be getting a friendly visit from the MPs soon.
If any of you need help submitting your completed photos into the gallery, feel free to PM me or just ask for help here.

Hi all,
This is the stage I could get my T-80 finally. I still haven't enlisted in the campaign list for fear of turning up AWOL, if I can get some modelling done next week I will make a last minute enlisting.
The Dragon kit for the T-80 is hard to built with lots of mismatching parts, instructions that sometimes confuse you extremely and there are visible accuracy problems here or there. One should have plentiful reference pictures to build a healthy T-80 to compensate for the missing points the instructions leave out. I guess being the third kit produced by Dragon in its company history, these are acceptable.
I was planning to start painting today, however just constructing the turret took all of my day. The turret mounted MG and the gasoline barrels at the back are still waiting to be built. I am leaving for another city in 6 hours for my work, so I guess they will have to wait for the next weekend.
Hope I can maket it on time before the campaign ends.

Just reporting in and making sure you have me as completed on the list. I was the one you helped with posting the pictures and getting Kitmaker working for me. My M1A1-HA and my LAV-25 photos should be in the proper gallery now.

I finished up the Fujimi 1/76 scale JGSDF Type 90 MBT. This is a Japanese copy of a Leopard 2 tank. Not a bad kit, but not up to the standards of a Revell, Dragon or Trumpeter 1/72 scale kit.
I replicated a temporary winter white wash used on JGSDF AFVs. I based my scheme on photos of similar vehicles in the Tamiya News booklet.

Wow im quite blown away at some of the quality of the kits that this campaign is producing.
Giving such a small award dont seem to do enough justice.
The list on the first post of this thread has been updated. We still have about 54 soldiers unaccounted for. Pretty high casualty rate but am confident the true survival rate of this campaign is higher than that.

Jeremy,
I have some bad news buddy. I don't think I am gonna make the deadline on this one. I still have to finish the tracks and the TOW launcher on my Bradley. Not to mention seal it and start weathering it. I will try my hardest to post some pictures of what I have completed and let you be the judge. Family, moving and getting ready for Annual Tarinig has bogged me down.
Sorry again buddy.

I know this may sound stupid, but I have never done a campaign.
How and where do I sign up?
How and where do I post my photos?
How and where do I find where to post on the campaign forum?
Thanks
