Jim,

Thanks for the help with the postage calculator!! I went to purchase a shirt and hat for me and Danny, but the postage was a little confusing for me...either the total bill came to $75 or the shipping alone was $75. I looked for answers, but couldn't find them... $13 for shipping is understandable, but not $75!!

BTW how much of this do you get?? I hope most of it!!

Brian,
LOL...I wish. No $22/$28 is the flat rate (no markup) for the shirts. I could probably buy a similar Lee golf shirt at SAMs (discount warehouse) for $15-18, so $22 is a pretty good price with embroidery.

I did some checking to your location with UPS and FedEx. FedEx was about $10 cheaper but still coming in at $43 for shipping a 2lb. package! Ridiculous. I did check the US Postal Service web site and assuming a shirt and hat can fit in their Global envelope option then that would only be around $15 (with 3-5 day est. arrival). Of course I highly doubt that Corporate Casuals also ships through USPS. They may not even ship through FedEx. I will have to ask. If not I can probably ship them via USPS for you if you'd like. That will still be $20+ when you figure the shipping from CC to get to me.

What happened to our Global Trading Environment? $53 to ship a little package across the Atlantic? I wonder if it would be cheaper to have it delivered to your work address? I know UPS charges more for residential US deliveries.

Jim,

What you are suggesting might be the best answer to the situation. Do you recall off hand what the shipping was to you?? The order I mention above stated the package was 4lbs., how much would that cost do you think? One way or the other Danny and I would like each a golf shirt and a hat...but massive shipping costs are a big problem!!

How can it be that postal companies are in financial problems if you see the prices they charge to send a simple package !
I still like the idea of an armorama shirt, though...

I will check at my local Post Office to verify the size and rates for 2-4 lb packages. But assuming their site is accurate about the $15 rate, anyone that wants me to then ship them overseas can just order the items and have them sent to me. Email me if you want to do this so we can exchange shipping addresses.

Thanks,
Jim

What's all the hubbub about shipping to Canada, that shouldn't be hard. By the way Jim, which state is Canada in, I forget.
